Kate Walsh, D.V.M.

Veterinarian

Dr. Kate Walsh born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and later grew up in the North Cascades in Washington State. After high school, Dr. Walsh moved to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah, where she graduated with her biology degree in 2009. Although she originally attended college to study genetics and stem-cell research, her focus changed when she started working as a veterinary technician at local veterinarian’s office.

Dr Walsh attend veterinary school at Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies. She completed her clinical rotations at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before graduating with her veterinary degree in the fall of 2013. Dr. Walsh and her husband relocated to the Treasure Coast following graduation and welcomed beautiful twin girls the following year, in 2014.

Her professional interests include small animal internal medicine and surgery, traditional Chinese veterinary acupuncture and herbal therapy and rehabilitation (physical) therapy.

Dr. Walsh enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, relaxing on the beach, fishing and diving, sightseeing, and photography. She even runs her own successful photography business in her time away from the hospital. Outside of work Dr Walsh provides support to families with babies diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, as one of her daughters is a survivor of CDH.
